As an investment banker, Michael Cohen has represented world class entrepreneurs. Previously Michael represented Burt Rutan the Founder and CEO of Scaled Composites, which was acquired by Northrop Grumman. At Global Capital Markets it was Dr. Malcolm Lewis (in the field of sustainability) the Founder, and CEO of Constructive Technologies Group which was acquired by Cadmus Group. Additionally he has advised such companies as Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett Packard, and General Electric on strategic M&A and has closed over 40 optimized corporate equity transactions for buyers and sellers.

Michael has represented world class entrepreneurs and has advised such companies as Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett Packard, and General Electric on strategic M&A and has closed over 40 optimized corporate equity transactions for buyers and sellers.

Michael brings to his clients unique insights from his background with financial and strategic buyers and applies them for the benefit of private company buyers and sellers. Before investment banking, at Honeywell International, he doubled the aerospace and defense revenue growth rate by leading strategic Mergers & Acquisitions. As an equity capital investor, he generated over 22% IRR (internal rate of return) for Norwest Equity Partners and 3i Capital.

On the operations side, Michael led engineering development at General Electric Aerospace and at Kulicke & Soffa, a leading supplier of capital equipment to the semiconductor industry.

Michael earned an M.S.E.E. from Drexel Univ. and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business. He has written and published numerous articles of interest to private company buyers and sellers. He is licensed (series 7, 79, 63) by FINRA as a General Securities Representative and as a Salesperson by the CA Department of Real Estate.

Michael’s personal interests include travel (reading maps and getting lost), bike riding, hiking, skiing, building and flying remote control aircraft, drones, and helicopters, playing chess, tennis, rollerblading, and supporting charitable causes especially those benefiting children.
